MAINTENANCE TIPS

Santini products are designed to meet the needs of professional cyclists at the highest level of their sport, helping them to compete in all weather conditions. We choose technologies and materials that give you maximum performance in the saddle. In order to ensure a long life for your Santini garments, each item should be handled according to the following care instructions.

1. How to take care of Santini clothes:

• Clothing should ideally be washed after every ride or at least stored in a well ventilated room. Clothing maintains its properties if washed immediately after use. By washing items soon after use, the appearance of bacteria that can damage the fabric is greatly reduced.
• Clothing should not be stored in areas with high humidity or lack of ventilation. (Plastic bag, sports bag, backpacks ...)
• When not in use, clothing should not be exposed to direct sunlight for long periods of time.

2. How to wash your Santini garment:

• Before washing your Santini garment, turn it inside out (with the inside seams exposed).
• Make sure to close all zippers and Velcro.
• Wash your Santini clothes separately from the rest of your laundry.
• When washing your Santini clothes by hand, use lukewarm water with a delicate laundry detergent.
• When washing your Santini clothes in the machine, make sure to use a cycle with a maximum temperature of 30 ° C. It is also recommended if possible to use a wash bag.
• -Do not use fabric softeners or bleach products
• Use a light spin cycle.
• When hanging your Santini garment for drying, avoid direct sunlight if possible.

3.How to take care of clothes receiving fabric waterproofing treatment:

• All water resistant materials (Waterproof) are treated with advanced environmentally friendly treatments without the use of fluorine.
• The very safe water resistance treatment (PFOA free) is based on specific polymers which are highly branched and provide optimum water resistance characteristics. The treatment prevents the outer layer from becoming saturated to allow the fabric to do its job of repellent water and moisture management.
• The useful life of the water resistance treatment varies depending on how the garment is cared for and washed. The effectiveness of the treatment is guaranteed up to 30 to 50 washes.
• We recommend that you wash your Santini clothes following the same instructions above. Fabric softeners will completely degrade waterproofing.
• The fabric treatment for water resistance needs to be occasionally reiterated to maintain its native qualities.

4. How to take care of your chamois:

• Each Santini chamois leather is made with advanced hypoallergenic and antibacterial materials. The softness is not affected by washing, washing will even help to enhance the effect.
• We do not recommend the use of chamois creams which may cause deterioration of the padding material and also degrade its hypoallergenic properties.
